I like this show. It's a little loose in the beginning, but still great. I think the show really gets cooking in the second half of the first set. Bobby belts on Uncle and Big River and I dig the way Jerry gets into Stagger Lee.
I guess there are a few places where they lose the groove and seem a little off-tempo with each other, but I think it's a fine show. Bobby is strong tonight. There's some freakishness at the end of Victim that had me thinking I was in a flashback for a moment. Pretty cool. Then, right into a real sweet Bird Song.
It's hard for me to find negatives about any show outside of sound quality. I love the band too much! It's the little mistakes and the momentary losses of the groove that make them the humans they are. What a great band, any show! I am a bad critic, I suppose.
The sound quality of this show is great. I could hear everybody pretty good.
